Here are a few things we've done so far this summer...

Gymnastics

A few months ago, (don't worry, I'm almost caught up:) the boys had their gymnastics recital. It was so cute to watch them do their routine. I'm so glad we put them in gymnastics. They both really loved it.

Due to the "On the Farm" theme of the show, the gymnastics instructor arranged to have a couple of horses out front for the kids to ride. Brenton was really excited, but Alex wanted nothing to do with it.

Lagoon

While in Utah (back in June), Patty took us all to Lagoon. It was the boys first trip. We kept waiting until they were old enough. We were kind of worried, maybe they wouldn't quite be old enough, or make it through-out the entire day, but they did! We were ready to go home before they were. It was so much fun!

The video at the bottom of the pictures is VERY long, I'm warning you now...but if you want to watch it, you have to watch it until the very end. The end is where the funny part is. It shows our boys "true" characters. We love them so much!

Hang Loose!

They are not flipping off the camera...they are flashing the "hang loose" sign. :)

Above: We were on this ride for over 1 1/2 hours! The stupid guys loading/un-loading it kept screwing it up. They said they had a special process for loading/unloading while there was a short line waiting to ride. For some reason, we kept getting skipped during the un-loading process. After I started yelling from the top of the ride to let me off (I rode with Alex) the guys seemed to get more confused, and just continued to randomly let people off and on. I think we went around maybe three times during that ENTIRE time. Finally, Patty chewed the kid out running it, and got us off. I now detest that ride.

Idaho Falls

Back in June, we drove down to Utah to spend time with Kale's family. On our way down, we stopped for lunch in Idaho Falls. It was fun to stop at the river, feed the geese/ducks, and get out of the car for a little while.

So...this is what we look like after being in the car for about 7 hours.

Tee Ball

Brenton's Tee Ball season was way too short. About 1/2 the games were rained out, so he really didn't get to play much. It was pretty fun watching the little kids learn the bases, which way to run, and the different positions played.

At first, Brenton had a hard time keeping his eye on the ball...especially while playing in the field. We talked about it, and talked about it. Finally one day, he replied like this, "Mom, I like to look at beautiful things, and the ball isn't beautiful!"

He actually had a pretty good reason to not watch the ball...we did stress the importance of watching the ball so you don't get injured. He did end the season much better than he started it. The majority of the time, he was watching the ball. All in all, it was a great start to baseball.

Brenton's Preschool Graduation

In May, Brenton graduated from Preschool. They did a little program, and then a small lunch. It was super cute. We LOVED his preschool and his teachers. We are really hoping Alex can attend next year as a mentor student. (Brenton attended for speech therapy, and Alex seems to have NO problem with his speech.)

House Fire

There used to be a house behind us. It was VERY run-down, and the owners WAY behind on their taxes. The owners sold sold it to a guy who cleaned up the property, and had the fire department burn the house down, and has re-listed it at a much higher price. The fire department got practice, and he got free disposal. Thank you to all! We LOVE the new view from the back of our house!

It only took the new owner around two days to clean up the spot, level it out, and plant grass seed. The grass is already growing, and he has been mowing it once a week. If you want some land in Northern Idaho for a good deal, we'll get you the information. Nice neighbors would be fun to have!
