Christmas Eve Bowling

On Christmas Eve, we went bowling over at Triple Play. Super fun time. It was great to have Brittany and Patty here to celebrate with us.

Way back when...

Alex started preschool back in September. I cleaned all the pictures off the camera, and I somehow found these pictures still on there. Oops.

Alex goes to preschool two times per week, and even gets to ride the bus! He was SUPER excited for his first day. He still loves it just as much as he did the first day.

One of Alex's favorite things to do at school, is play in the beans. Sometimes his teachers have to "curtail" his angry attitude towards the other children when they try to play in "his" beans. This year, Alex is a mentor student at the preschool Brenton went to for speech therapy. Most of the other kids in his class don't talk yet, either developmental problem, or lack of wanting to talk. Alex doesn't have that problem, so the teachers are appreciating having him there.

Since Alex likes school and learning so much, we might enroll him in a local Christian school, to get him a little more used to school prior to next Kindergarten. The Christian preschool will do either three full days or five full days per week for pre-Kindergarten.

Socially, he's right at the "just barely four year old" level, but academically, he's above that. He already is writing, he knows all the letters and sounds, he beginning to read, he knows simple addition, and can count past 100. I guess we'll see what next year brings. :)

January 10th-Brenton's Birthday!!!

Brenton turned 6 on January 10th, 2011. We had a great little party with us and the Sevy's. I made Brenton a hideous Bakugan cake. (No pictures posted of that...too embarrassing.)

Happy birthday (over a month ago) my little man! We love you!

Brenton's cake was a four-layer cake. Two round layers, followed by a giant ball made of two additional layers. After Brenton blew out the candles, he said he wanted "that piece" and pointed to the ball on top. So, I pulled the ball off, and plopped it on his plate. At least he liked the cake (once he figured out what it was).

Brenton got several gifts. He received numerous more Bakugans, and a few Lego sets. He has discovered his love of Legos. He really enjoys putting them together with Kale.

Patty & Britt sent up a gift for both of the boys, and Alex got to open that. (He enjoyed having something to open.)
