This fit was started by me taking my cell phone away from him. He actually climbed up on the table to get the phone (yes, he knows better). I took this picture after 30 minutes of screaming and crying. It lasted an additional 60 minutes. (Mom, I guess I'm getting what I deserve.)

Stubborn
My mom said that I was extremely stubborn as a child. I guess I'm getting my payback. Alex is extremely stubborn. When he starts to throw a fit, there is no distracting him. He WILL throw the fit, it's just a matter of how long.

Superboy!

You know how the superheroes all wear their underwear on the outside of their clothing?

Alex found a pair of Brenton's underwear and wanted to wear it. He kept trying to put it on by himself. Since he already had his pajamas on, at first I wouldn't help him. He kept following me around the house and crying. I finally relented.
I Love Bacon!
All of my boys love bacon. Kale has always been a fan, and the other two have realized their love during this past year. We even have a bacon song.
(Warning, it's kind of a long video clip.)

My Binky Boy!
1st Day of School
Brenton started school on Tuesday. Since he still (as of last years evaluation) qualifies for speech therapy, he's able to go to the special needs preschool. He loves going, and I love him going.
He goes both Tuesday and Thursday. The bus picks him up at 12:05 and he gets dropped back off around 3:30.

Yup. My kid rides the short bus, and I'm proud!

Pig Out in the Park
The boys favorite food is corn on the cob. We had that for them. Alex gave us some nasty looks when we pretended to take it from him. Pretty funny.
Jumper
After all the trampoline jumping in Utah, I thought that maybe I should get the jumper out for Alex. (He'd lost interest in it a while ago.) Alex is right at the top of the weight limit, but that didn't matter to him, he still got enough spring to get some good jumping in. He loved it.
Brenton of course was jealous of Alex, so we let him get in. It ended up not being as fun for Brenton, but he won't admit that. Being as tall as he is, he didn't really get much spring to help him jump. He's been in it one time since, but has quickly lost interest. I guess that's good, since he does weight ten pounds over the limit.
Utah!
A couple of weeks ago, we made our trip to Utah. Since Kale was on a business trip, I drove down with the boys. Our friend Crystal (Grandma Crystal to the boys) drove down to Pocatello, ID with me. (3/4 of her children live in Pocatello.) Pocatello is only about 1 1/2 hours from Kale's mom, so I only had a short bit in the car with the boys by myself.
It was a great trip down. The boys were wonderful. We left early in the morning and they slept, and then played. They watched a couple of movies, and before we knew it, we were there.
We were able to visit quite a bit of family (some we have pictures for and some we do not) while we were there. There was a lot of family we didn't make it to see. For some reason the time goes by so fast! The only friend we were able to see was Nephi, and that's because he's dating Kale's sister.
Hopefully next time we go down, we'll be able to see everyone that we want. If anyone has ideas on how to do that, we'd love to hear them.

Preston Derby!
When we were planning our trip to Utah, we couldn't decide when we wanted to go. Kale found out when the Preston demolition derby was planned, and we scheduled our trip around that. Fun, but kind of red-necky. We missed Preston's Napoleon Dynamite Festival :(
It ended up being a great derby. This was my first Preston derby, and I have to say, I actually enjoyed it. There seemed to be a lot of flames, a lot of great hits, and even a car that almost tipped over (while the driver was still inside). As an added bonus, Kale's mom and his Aunt watched the boys for us so we could go without the children.

Hauser Fun
Fireworks
My fireworks are not quite the same as Nikki described on her blog. Ours were actual fireworks.
Yes, I know it's not the 4th of July, or the 24th of July (Utah holiday)...but for some reason, Kale's family thinks it's legal to do fireworks as long as you're careful. We were careful, no one was hurt, and no fires started.

Nikki's House
Kale was on a business trip until half way through our Utah trip. A couple days before I picked him up in Salt Lake City, I took the boys down to my sister's house. Brenton had so much fun playing with Kiarra. It was such a nice trip. We went to the Dinosaur Museum and Kangaroo Zoo.

My friend Erin cam and hung out with us for a while. It was great to see her. (If you ask me, I think Erin and Nikki look a lot more alike than Nikki and I do.)
